Prize winners will be announced each day an hour before the show floor closes* for the following categories:
Winners must be present to collect their prizes.
Safety protocols will be followed to the current version of ANSI Z49.1 Safety in Welding and Allied Processes.
PARTICIPANTS FOLLOWING UNSAFE WELDING PRACTICES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
NOTE: the low carbon steel weldment you're given may or may not comply with AWS welding codes and has been designed to test your skills and knowledge of the welding process.
JUDGING AND PRIZES: All weldments will be evaluated to the current AWS D1.1 by a panel of Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI). Judges will pick the top 20 based on weld size and overall appearance, and a Laser Profiler will place the top 12. Additional NDE may be performed at their discretion.
